Student Organizations

The RCIE supports both the Collegiate Entrepreneurs’ Organization and the University Innovation Fellows. Both of these student organizations play important roles in Rowan’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and both welcome students from all majors.

The Collegiate Entrepreneurs’ Organization (CEO) is the premier entrepreneurship network with chapters on university campuses across North America and beyond. CEO’s Mission is to inform, support and inspire college students to be entrepreneurial and seek opportunity through enterprise creation. With a diverse entrepreneurial community and global network, CEO provides student entrepreneurs with opportunities, events, chapter activities and conferences to help start businesses.

Rowan’s CEO Chapter hosts regular guest speaker events, networking functions, attends regional and national startup conferences, and supports a variety of campus entrepreneurship activities including the Idea Challenge Competition each fall and the Rohrer New Venture Competition and Expo each spring.

For more information about Rowan’s CEO Chapter please contact Chapter President Nick Nastasi or Faculty Advisor Prof. Greg Payton (paytong@rowan.edu), or check out their Proflink for the latest events, pictures, and news about the club.

University Innovation Fellows (UIF) are students who want to make a difference on campus and in the world. They want to solve our society’s most pressing problems, beginning with higher education. Students have the ability and drive to create change so that their peers are being equipped with the skills to compete in the 21st-century economy. This includes being the best problem solvers we can be, identifying opportunities with the potential to greatly benefit our society, and implementing disruptive ideas.

Fellows are working to create lasting institutional change by creating new learning opportunities and exposing the student body at their school to opportunities to develop skills in team building, creativity, innovation, design thinking, entrepreneurship and venture creation. Fellows are leaders, followers, liaisons, thinkers, creators, doers, designers, pushers of boundaries and conversation starters, among many other roles. They are challenged to do what is right, not what is easy.
