Certificate of Undergraduate Studies
Certificates of Undergraduate Study (CUGS) provide a credential for students completing an area of study totaling 12 to 17 credit hours. Completion of the CUGS is noted on students' transcripts and is intended to complement students' other areas of study. A CUGS can be a great option to help students explore academic areas of interest and prepare for their professional futures.

Important Note: Students may only double count two courses (6 to 8 credits) from another single major, minor, or other certificate of undergraduate program they are concurrently completing to fulfill the requirements for a Certificate of Undergraduate Study.
Cannabis Commercialization
The Rowan University Certificate of Undergraduate Study in Cannabis Entrepreneurship is one of the first entrepreneurship-focused cannabis degree offerings in the U.S. Offered through the award-winning School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Rowan University's AACSB-Accredited Rohrer College of Business, this program is designed to prepare students to enter this emerging, high-growth industry, either as entrepreneurs bringing new products and/or services to market, or as intrapreneurs, helping industry leading organizations continue to innovate and grow.
Students enrolled in Rowan's Cannabis CUGS benefit from access to a proprietary cannabis industry knowledge base, a diverse mentor network of cannabis industry professionals, and faculty with practical and tactical startup experience. Our core cannabis entrepreneurship courses (ENT 06.351 and ENT 06.352) include optional lunch-and-learn sessions with industry leaders, creating a powerful networking opportunity. This CUGS consists of 4 courses (12 s.h.) and was intentionally designed so it could be completed online, offering maximum flexibility to those interested in formalizing their education in this industry.

- Students seeking to complete this program fully online should enroll in ENT 06.346 as their elective option. Other fully online options may be offered intermittently.

Creative Industries Entrepreneurship
The Certificate of Undergraduate Study (CUGS) in Creative Industries Entrepreneurship is designed to foster the combination of creative pursuits with entrepreneurial thinking and business know-how. As demonstrated by the thousands of students who have used Studio 231 on campus to rapid prototype their ideas and explore how those could be made into products, and the launch of Creatives 230, there is a high interest among Rowan’s creative industries students (e.g., music, art, writing arts, theater, etc.) for more formalized training and micro-credentials where they can acquire entrepreneurial skills to leverage as they graduate and enter the workforce. Many creatives seek to avoid the ‘starving artist’ stigma, so this program seeks to offer students a hybrid-option where they can develop both entrepreneurial and creative skillsets and mindsets in just 4 courses (12 s.h.).
